My work is transforming.

Until recently, my work has largely developed in the domain of furniture, built to be functional yet originating from personal and social narratives. My time at Headlands will be an opportunity to really transform the kind of work I wish to make, bridging the varied themes and images that have recurred in my creative work and allowing these tendencies to culminate in what I consider my most ambitious works yet. My proposed work will begin a series of full-size, figurative, wood sculptures comprising a body of work with the working title, "Affectations." I expect that the time and space accorded by the Affiliate Program will exhibit considerable influence in enabling me to complete this work.
